  • Do you offer a Sydney clotheslines delivery service?

    Yes. All clothesline orders can be delivered direct to your door with a courier door to door service available.

  • What is the best clothesline model for close to the ocean?

    If you live close to the ocean or within an area that may get salt water spray, we recommend you go with one of the 316 Stainless steel clothesline options. Click this link for info on 316 stainless steel clotheslines

  • How much does clothesline installation cost?

    The cost to install a clothesline is $165.00 incl gst for a standard installation to a brick or masonry wall or a standard ground mount installation into soil/earth.


    If you need an old clothesline removed there is an extra charge of $60.00.


    If rock or concrete is encountered there can be additional charges of $80 for jackhammering or $100 per hole for core hole drilling.

  • How long does supply and installation take in Sydney?

    With Sydney clothes line supply and installation the normal time frame is generally 3-15 business days. This is dependant on the time of year and product ordered as spring is a very busy time for clothesline installation.

  • Can you take my old clothesline away?

    Yes. If you order the supply and installation service for your new clothesline we can take the old one away. Just be sure to select Installation & Removal from the options for clothesline installation.

  • Can I get a clothesline made to a specific size as I have limited space?

    Yes. The Eco range of fold down clotheslines can be customsied free of charge to your exact requirements. Just let us know the exact size of clothesline you need and we can generally make it fit perfectly so you get the most line space possible.

  • Do you have local Sydney support staff that I can talk to over the phone?

  • What is the best height for installing a clothesline?

    Generally the standard height for installing a clothesline is around 180cm(6ft) but this is dependant on the user.


    If the user is taller or shorter it is recommended to install the clothesline around 5cm above the users head height.

  • Are Hills Clotheslines made in Australia?

    The current range of Hills clotheslines are made in China and include all modesl including the classic Hills Hoist.


    Hills Industries sold the sale and manufacturing rights for all of the Hills Home Living brands in January 2017 to AMES Australasia, which is a subsidiary of the American company, Griffon Corporation.


    There are still a number of Australian made clothesline brands which are Eco Clotheslines, Austral Clothes Hoists, Evolution Clotheslines, Ecodry Portable Clotheslines and Skydry Clotheslines.
