Overview

The Austral Retractaway 50 Plus Clothesline is a durable retracting clothesline that features a patented line tensioning system with a maximum line extension of 10m.

The 5 PVC coated lines easily retract away into the cabinet and won't mark or snag clothes.

Posts can be installed directly into the ground (standard post) or they can be bolted down on top of existing concrete (plated post option) for better installation possibilities with the Austral Retractaway 50 Plus.

Installation Note: If you require drilling into existing concrete for your clothesline installation please contact us on 1300 798 779 to discuss, as there is additional labour and charges.

The Mount Bar, Post Kit and Ground Socket are Accessories that are only required for certain mounting situations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the Retractaway 50 Plus has a minimum extension of just 2m. This means you can pull the lines out from the cabinet any distance from 2m up to 10m and the lines can be locked.

Yes, you can add 1 or 2 Post Kits to your order if you don’t have a wall available.

A Plated Post Kit allows you to bolt the post down onto an existing concrete area rather than core drilling or jack hammering holes into the concrete. The post has a metal plate welded on the bottom with holes for dyna-bolting down onto the concrete.

Yes you can but you will just need to make sure the mounting holes at the back of the cabinet align with the structural supports in the wall. If not then a Post Kit is recommended with the clothesline and install it freestanding in front of the wall.

A general rule of thumb is to install the clothesline so that the lines are approx. 50mm above the users head height. An average height is approx. 1800mm but you can adjust this to suit your requirements.
