Overview

The Austral Retractaway 40 Plus Clothesline is a newer better version of the classic heavy duty retractable clothesline you've always trusted.

It can hold a huge wash load for a family of 1-6.

With a an upgraded line tension system that extends up to 8m and retracts back to the wall when not in use, this is a popular unit and top seller.

The long line length of the Austral Retractaway 40 Plus clothesline is perfect for narrow spaces. Any supporting posts can be fixed into the ground (grass/soil) or bolted down on top of an existing concrete area (plated post version).

Installation Note: If you require drilling into existing concrete for your clothesline installation please contact us on 1300 798 779 to discuss, as there are additional labour and charges.

The Mount Bar, Post Kit and Ground Socket are Accessories that are only required for certain mounting situations (see below).

Yes, the Retractaway 40 Plus has a minimum extension of just 2m. This means you can pull the lines out from the cabinet any distance from 2m up to 8m(10m for the extended version) and the lines can be locked.

Yes, you can add 1 or 2 Post Kits to your order if you don’t have a wall available.

A Plated Post Kit allows you to bolt the post down onto an existing concrete area rather than core drilling or jack hammering holes into the concrete. The post has a metal plate welded on the bottom with holes for dyna-bolting down onto the concrete.
