Can I use this clothesline outdoors? Yes, the Portable 170 is a great product for outdoor use as it is constructed from galvanised steel and the frame design is very sturdy. In windy conditions it works very well but common sense is needed as it is obviously not bolted down. How easy is the Portable 170 to assemble? It is quite simple to assemble actually, it comes with an allen key so no extra tools are required. The manual provided with the clothesline is very easy to follow and it is recommended to assemble in order of the steps laid out in the instructions and pay particular attention to which way each part goes together. How much does the Portable 170 weigh? Even though this clothesline is constructed from galvanised steel it is still relatively light at approx. 8kg so you can move it around quite easily. It's always recommended though to get someone to give you a hand if it is fully loaded. Does it fold up flat for storage and if so how do I do that? Yes, the Portable 170 folds flat very easily with the simple pull of a latch at each end, this releases the legs and it folds up flat. Check out the images on this page to see it folded. It also comes with a handy door bracket for storing behind the laundry door. How much line space do I get with this model? The Portable 170 has approx. 17m in total, that's enough to get about two loads of washing hung out and drying! Quite amazing for a portable clothesline. Will the Portable 170 hold my bed sheets? Yes, certainly. It will take Single and Double size sheets easily, you will need to fold the ends of the sheets over on the Queen and King size but there is enough height so that the sheets won't touch the ground. Is the optional Panier Laundry Trolley good quality? Yes, this is Hills premium trolley and its high handle design makes maneuverability a breeze and no bending over when pushing around, it even has a built in peg basket just below the handle keeping them nice and close. To order just click on the option called 'Add Laundry Trolley' next to the images on this page. Why not get yourself a set of Hills Smart Pegs at the same time! What sort of warranty do I get with the Portable 170 clothesline? This product is covered by a 3 year manufacturer’s warranty and 1 year warranty on the Polycore line, all backed by Hills.
