So if you had 2.24m or 2.28m space, we can actually make this clothesline to suit your requirements for you completely free of charge.
The Eco 240 is of the most popular ones that we see getting purchased through Lifestyle Clotheslines and we know exactly why.

Take a look at the wall brackets, the main frame—they are all constructed solely out of solid galvanised steel. The side arms and struts that hold the clothesline up are all full steel construction too, this thing will last for ages!
When you don't need the clothesline, you can simply fold it down flat to the wall, and when you're ready to go and dry your washing, you simply lift it up and it automatically locks into position ready for use.
Eco 240:
With the Eco 240 range, you can actually get it in five different depth options. When we talk about depth we're talking about the distance out from the wall:Â
- 0.6m
- 0.75mÂ
- 0.9m
- 1.2m
- 1.5m
Depending on what area you can work with and the space available, this can be a handy option to choose one of these depth options to really maximise the amount of usable are for drying clothes.
With the Eco Clothesline range, you can add an optional low-line attachment. This is a section at the back of the clothesline that attaches below the mainframe and gives you another three lines.Â
The Eco range is the only products that have this feature. What it does is it further allows you to maximise your line space in a small area and gives you the extra three lines.Â
So for a Eco clotheslines that has a width of 2.2 meters, that's another 6.6 meters of extra line space without consuming extra real estate!
If you don't need it on any given day, you can simply unhook it from the mainframe and have it flat to the wall.Â
This is really handy if you're trying to maximise your line space in a very small area.
It's great for hanging your small stuff in towards the back of the clothesline, and the bigger stuff towards the front as you move forward.Â
If you don't need the lowline attachment on any day, you can simply just unhook it from the main frame, and it folds flat to the wall.Â
Again, if you are looking to maximise your line space, this may be something worth considering.
Eco Clothesline's Colour Range
With the Eco Clothesline range, you do get 10 standard colours. We find that these are pretty much the most popular 10 that we see in modern clotheslines today.Â
They're all COLORBOND colours and span pretty much the spectrum of colorbond colours available.
If you do have needs outside of these ones, please let us know as we do have access to other colorbond colours that may work well with your home’s exterior.
We will be more than happy to assist you with all your needs in terms of customising your clothesline.
Another option for the 2.2m wide clotheslines is the Hills Single Clothesline.
This is a single frame unit from Hills and it is available in three colours. The shades available are Pebble Beach, Basalt, and Midnight Sky.
The clothesline we showed is in the Midnight Sky colour. This unit is 2.2m wide by 1.2m depth out from the wall and it has 10 lines.
Above is the Hills Double Clothesline. This is basically a twin frame clothesline which boast sections that can be deployed independently of each other.Â
So it's a bit like having two clotheslines in one. If you have a small wash, you could just pull the small section up and then if you have a bigger wash, you can lift the other section up for more space.
Again, this clothesline comes in the three colours just like the Hills Single.
The Hills Compact is another one that sports a standard depth width of 2.2 by 0.6 of a meter and what it lacks in depth it gains in practicality and versatility.
The Hills Compact has six lines.
This is more suitable for narrow areas and other small spaces in or out of your home, it might be small but it is just as robust as its bigger cousins typical of Hills’ products.
Daytek also does a couple of units with 2.2m width, the Daytek Single and Daytek Twin (pictured below), similar to the Hills, it is 2.24 meters wide by 1.21m. each model has ten lines.Â
Daytek does a range of colours and also has a twin frame unit, same spacing of 2.24m by 1.21m with ten line and is a really good option if you want a lot of drying line space in a compact package.
The Daytek slim similar to the Hills compact, this has a dimension of 2.24m by 0.7m and this one has five drying lines.
Depending on what depth you've got to work with out from the wall, this could be an option to consider and a pretty good one of you require a clothesline in places like narrow pathways and such.
It is one of the longer yet slim profile clotheslines we have available as you can see on the image on the left.
The shallow depth from the front allows it to be placed in balconies, garages, etc.
Perfect for small homes, studios, apartments, and even townhouses!
So if your a looking for a slim profile clothesline, the Daytek Slim is a good choice.
Our recommendation for clotheslines that are 2.2m wide is the Eco Clotheslines range. They are handmade in Australia the old fashioned way and they're made from Australian steel.Â
Like we have mentioned before, they boast full steel construction and they're really built to last a long time. They're designed in Australia, made in Australia, and really suitable for the harsh Australian conditions.Â
The big range of modern colours is a big benefit too with the Eco range as well as that customisation available that are both free of charge.Â
So if you want specifics in terms of the dimensions of your clothesline, we can make it to suit your requirements at no additional charge.
The standard mounting method for this is a wall mount (a standard brick or masonry wall) but if you don't have a suitable wall surface to mount to, all of these products in this range can be ground mounted using a ground-mount kit.Â
The Hills models only come with a standard ground mount kit, which is for a soil installation. The Daytek and the Eco range can be ground mounted using a plated mount kit on top of the standard one.
The ground mount kit will let you erect the clothesline on a grass/soil area, so you'd have to dig a couple of holes and concrete each of the legs in.
The plated ground mount kit would be your best bet for concrete slabs, this kit has plates welded onto the bottom of each leg, so then you can mount it directly down to a concrete slab area, and then the clothesline would attach to the two legs.
If you need a more comprehensive approach/assistance in terms of clothesline installation, we at Lifestyle Clotheslines do have a network of installers Australia-wide.Â
Another option is ticking the box on the Product page and add that to your order, or you can also give us a call and we can help you with the installation service as well.
The best accessory to install when owning a fold-down clothesline is a clothesline cover, this cover is a great way to save your garments from premature wear and unwanted particles.
It keeps them nice and dry, it also keeps your coloured garments from fading due to the harsh UV rays.
It's optional to have on your clothesline, but we think that it is something that might be worth considering.
We have  100-day happiness guarantee that makes sure you've got the right clothesline for your space and situation, if you are not happy with your purchase, we will gladly find the best route to make it right.
